As the state's public polytechnic university, we continue to invest in the renewal of our existing facilities in addition to adding new spaces, with the goal of providing an exceptional teaching, learning, and living environment. NJIT offers more than 126 undergraduate and graduate degree programs in six specialized schools instructed by expert faculty, 98 percent of whom hold the highest degree in their field. Our academic programs are fully accredited by the appropriate accrediting boards, commissions, and associations such as Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (MSA). Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET), association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), and National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB). Our extensive Continuing Professional Education programs and online courses offer important training for professionals already on the job, and our competitive industry internships help land you one of your own.
NJIT is located in Newark, New Jersey's largest city. Newark is also New Jersey's cultural and economic capital, boasting performance spaces, professional sports, great food, and five other colleges nearby. We're also 20 minutes by train to New York City, the greatest city in the world.

Academics
NJIT, a top-ranked public research university, offers undergraduate and graduate students over 126 degree programs ranging from the STEM(science, technology, engineering and math) disciplines to architecture and design, as well as management and humanities. Our interdisciplinary approach to learning offers students the ability to study in fields beyond their major. We continue to invest in our faculty and facilities so that our students learn in state-of-the-art classrooms and have access to the latest technology in our labs. Our six schools and colleges enroll more than 11,560 students, preparing them for the workplace as well as continuing on to advanced degrees.
How to Apply
At NJIT, an institution of more than 11,000 undergraduate and graduate students, we welcome international students to our campus. Currently, more than 1,700 international students from over 75 countries are part of our NJIT community. During our admission process, we closely review your specific academic background and particular educational system in order to make the best possible admission decisions.

Undergraduate Admission Criteria
- GPA of 3.0/4.0 (First Class Standing for British System)
- IELTS 6.0; TOEFL 79; or SAT EBRW 500+
- SAT or ACT Test Scores(Not required transfer students)
- Recommendation letter
- Architecture, Digital Design, Industrial Design. Interior Design and Infrastructure Planning requires a portfolio, supplemental application, 2 additional recommendation letters

Graduate Masters Admission Criteria

Cooperative education, internships, and service learning offer NJIT students a means to put into professional practice the knowledge they have gained in the classroom.
